Café Manger (Hourly, Part-Time)
Job Title: Church Café Manager
Time Commitment: ~5 hours per week
Reports To: Pamela Walsh
Role Overview
The Café Manager oversees the weekly operations of our church café, ensuring a smooth, organized operation while cultivating a warm, welcoming environment for our congregation and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Management: Build monthly volunteer schedules and lead training for all café team members.
Inventory & Ordering: Track stock, manage orders, and keep café supplies fully restocked.
Sunday Operations: Oversee the setup and teardown of the free black coffee station every Sunday.
Shift Coverage: Serve as the primary backup to cover café shifts if a scheduled volunteer is unavailable (regular shift scheduling is not required).
Menu Development: Help create fun, seasonal specialty beverages throughout the year.
Atmosphere: Foster an inviting, hospitable space that helps people connect.
Qualifications
Reliable, organized, and proactive with time management.
Strong interpersonal skills with a heart for hospitality and volunteer leadership.
Basic understanding of coffee prep and inventory management (or willingness to learn).
